To the Katoomba Chamber of Commerce and Community Website

Chamber Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Library of The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba.

If you have a matter to be raised at the Chamber meetings, please send an email to the Secretary at least one week prior to the meeting date so it may be included on the Agenda.

 

The Katoomba Chamber of Commerce and Community is dedicated to promoting and supporting the interests and heritage of Katoomba.

The Katoomba Chamber of Commerce & Community developed out of, and took over from, the Katoomba Mainstreet Organization established in 1999.

The Chamber has had a significant impact on the local area, and the dedication and commitment of many members over the years has resulted in great improvements in and around the town. These include:

  • Updating the Community on local issues
  • Playing an active role in town improvements including: lighting, signage, security cameras, flagpoles, flower pots, benches, car parks, gardens, paving, fencing
  • Having ONE voice (as the KCCC) to advocate & lobby on behalf of Katoomba
  • Supporting the Cittaslow philosophy which takes time to promote & appreciate our local community
  • Inviting Guest Speakers to meetings to focus on local issues
  • Providing a forum to meet & exchange with other business & community members to network with & support each other
  • Publicising the "Katoomba Heritage and Artwalk"
  • Supporting special events such as Christmas Shopping nights and festive decorations throughout the year.
  • Lobbying BMCC regarding the 2011 changes to Council Rates.

Meetings are held at 6.15 pm on the second Thursday of each month at The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba. All Business and community residents of Katoomba are welcome and we often have guest speakers to keep the Chamber up to date with what is happening in our area.

Interested Community members and businesses engaged in commerce, trade, services, industry or manufacture in Katoomba are welcome to join The Chamber of Commerce. A membership form is attached below. All Memberships are eligible for a free listing on this website for their business, in addition to a free listing on www.bluemountainsaustralia.com

JOIN OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP 

Annual Membership periods are from 1st June to 1st July. Elections for positions are held at the AGM annually in November.  Please submit your nominations two weeks prior to the AGM. 

Please make cheques payable to the Katoomba Chamber of Commerce and Community. 

Member businesses are listed on this website free of charge.
